Johanna Ortiz's Debut Bridal Collection: Spring 2018

Every girl's go-to for fabulous festive attire is about to be every bride's go-to for fresh and feminine wedding dresses. Designer Johanna Ortiz, known for her effortlessly sexy off-the-shoulder silhouettes, billowing sleeves, and layers of ruffles, is bringing her style expertise to the wedding world with the debut of her new bridal collection, which is already becoming a favorite of the Insta-famous crowd.

Launched exclusively for luxury online retailer Moda Operandi just last month, Johanna Ortiz's bridal collection is wrought with the gorgeous, feminine embellishments we've come to expect from the designer's wares, but with an added dose of romance and supersize sculptural details.

Sophisticated, sexy, and modern, these dream dresses are for the bride who wants to make a statement—oh so elegantly, of course—and Ortiz herself is here to tell you all about them in our newest Brides video, above.

Giving us an intimate first look at her debut bridal collection, Ortiz says that she's drawn to elegant, feminine, and slightly sexy silhouettes when it comes to brides, and her gowns reflect that, making them fit for "destination weddings and tropical, warm-weathered weddings," the designer muses.

A standout from the collection? Ortiz's bridal accessories. "I'm in love with headpieces," Ortiz notes, and her collection features two ultraromantic and undeniably unique ones that are crafted from—get this—real flowers dipped in gold.

Our other favorites from the too-cool collection include the "Atardeceres Sevillanos" dress, featuring floral guipure lace, puffed sleeves, a sheer neckline, and a gorgeous girly bow.

We're also smitten with Ortiz's "Noches De Andalucía," an off-the-shoulder gown with an asymmetric-ruffle tiered hem.

And we can't forget about the "El Amor En Los Tiempos Del Colera" dress, a silky, structural frock with an off-the-shoulder neckline, tiered mermaid skirt, and ruffled waist peplum.

"I think designing for bridal, being part of those special moments, makes me feel more creative," Ortiz shares, noting that she aims to give brides "the special dress of their dreams."
