Joan Smalls shows us yet another way to wear braids, Lily Aldridge is pretty in pink, and Ashley Greene breaks out the holiday makeup. Here, the red-carpet beauty looks (which all happened to be from the 11th Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards) we loved this week.
Joan Smalls: We're obsessing over Joan's beauty look for more reasons than one, but let's start with her genius half-up hairstyle. It's actually a trio of braids, which is basically the perfect bridal hairstyle. (It checks off all of the requirements: pretty, polished, and long-lasting.) Makeup-wise, you'd think lavender smoky eyes might be a bit much, right? Wrong. It brings out her brown eyes while still looking soft — much more so than black! White shimmer placed in the corners of her eyes adds a romantic, ethereal vibe, while groomed brows, subtle contouring, and glossy lips complete the look.
Ashley Greene: It's not even Thanksgiving yet, but Ashley's beauty look is giving us major winter beauty inspiration. How gorge would her shimmery, red lipstick and gold eye shadow look on a holiday bride? Pair this statement makeup with a simple, side-parted chignon, like Ashley did, to keep the focus on your face.
Lily Aldridge: Getting married on the beach? Take a tip from Lily and go for peach cheeks and soft pink lips. To make it appropriate for a formal event, she added metallic eye shadow, a flick of liquid liner, and a glossy, smooth blowout.
