The courting bells are ringing for one member of the famous Duggar clan. And you know what comes soon after that... Jinger Duggar just announced her courtship with professional soccer player Jeremy Vuolo. Now please excuse us while we begin dreaming up bridesmaid dresses for her nine sisters!
22-year-old Jinger is the latest Duggar sister to engage in her 19 Kids and Counting's family approved form of dating — which, in case you forgot, consists of no sex, no kissing, chaperoned dates, and side-hugs only. (Sounds super fun, right?) The lucky man is none other than pro athlete 28-year-old Jeremy Vuolo, whom she met last May and later had the opportunity to join for a mission trip. "It was there that I really saw his heart and really admired his character," Jinger explained to to People magazine.
"I was initially friends with Ben Seewald and Jessa [Duggar Seewald]," Jinger's new sweetheart piped in. "And it was through them that I got to meet Jinger. We are very excited to begin this journey together."
Sounds like this soccer hunk already has that Duggar family stamp of approval! And we're guessing that's no easy task when it comes to the uber-conservative (and ultra-controversial...) fam. But from the sound of it, Vuolo is their kind of guy. After graduating from Syracuse University and playing for the New York Red Bulls, he took a break from sports to pursue work in ministry, before signing with the San Antonio Scorpions in 2013. Those Christian values have got to please mom and dad, right? (And you thought your future in-laws were tough...)
Vuolo and his romantic (light on the romance) relationship with Jinger is set to take center stage on the Duggar's TLC show, Counting On later this summer, so we'll get to sneak a peek into their lives together — and hopefully, down the line, wedding plans! First comes courting, then comes marriage, right? Remember big sister Jessa's beautiful blush wedding dress? Say what you want about this family, but you can't deny they know how to seriously rock wedding day wear!
