Past due! Jill Duggar's due date may be today, but she says Baby Dilly likely won't come for another week. The 23-year-old soon-to-be mom is convinced her son will arrive late, and she's OK with it. In fact, she's given herself a second due date — April 5!
"I have told myself, 'First-time moms often go a week and a half over, so don't get discouraged,' " she told People of her long pregnancy. "When everyone else is asking you, 'When are you going to have that baby?' The baby will come when the baby comes." She added of Baby Dilly's much-anticipated birth that she was "planning on the baby coming late, no big deal — if you have it in your head that way, you won't get discouraged."
A student midwife herself, the 19 Kids and Counting star said that she's "feeling great." After helping to deliver close to 30 babies herself, she's set to take her midwife exam later this year. "It is really exciting to be studying this when pregnant," she explained of her midwife studies. "It takes on a whole different light when you are studying about what you are going through."
As for husband Derick Dillard, he's doing a great job supporting his very-pregnant wife. "He is so sweet," Jill gushed about her man. "He is doing amazing. He gave me a foot massage and painted my nails last night. He asked me what color I wanted, and we decided on pink nails. He picked out a bright pink and he said, 'Here we go — this will be your labor color.'"
Just three days ago the dad-to-be posted an adorable Instagram celebrating their nine-month anniversary with a collage of photos of Jill's big bump, and his #newdad shirt: "Happy 9 monthiversary @jillmdillard !!!" he wrote alongside the photo, above. "A LOT has happened since June 21! I am blessed beyond measure and every day is even better with you baby! You're my best friend, and I love you with all my heart! #newlyweds #newdad."
