Our Favorite Moments from Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard's Wedding!

Updated 10/29/14

After watching the first look at Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard's wedding yesterday, we were more than ready to watch their nuptials! Now that the #DuggarIDo special has aired on TLC, we finally know what all the hype was about after their June wedding.

It's hard to pick the most special moments from the sentimental wedding, but we managed to narrow it down to a few. For starters, there's the kiss heard 'round the world. Jill and Derick waited to do everything other than side-hug until after getting married, which included kissing. That means that they shared their first-ever smooch at the altar, in front of hundreds of friends and family members. Unsurprisingly, Jill lunged at her new husband's face the second she could — Duggar matriarch Michelle simply said Jill was "excited" (understatement of the century).

Another moment we loved was Jill and Derick's sheer giddiness at getting to spend a few moments alone together after the ceremony. They practically ran down the aisle! Not that we were too shocked — it was their first time ever enjoying each other's company without a chaperone present.

We also admittedly shed a tear or two over Derick's nearly absent mother, Cathy. Though he'd hoped her cancer treatment would allow her to attend his wedding, she almost wasn't healthy enough to make the trip. The special showed Jill and Derick calling her the morning of the wedding to wish her well, and we're pretty sure every viewer got more than a little choked up. Thankfully, she was able to make an appearance, which we're sure made their wedding day even more special.

The special generated so much interest on Twitter that TLC released an exclusive pre-wedding clip (above) of Jill with her mother and grandmother after it was over! Overall, the entire day was drama-free and filled with love. From the root beer floats at the reception to the way Jill and Derick held hands at the altar, every part was filled with love.
