The Duggar family has had a lot to celebrate this year — daughter Jill's June wedding to Derick Dillard, younger daughter Jessa's engagement to Ben Seewald, and Jill's pregnancy. And now, Jill and her husband have announced the sex of their baby!
The still-recent newlyweds are expecting a son, People reports. The stars of the TLC reality show 19 Kids & Counting also opened up about their big news. "I was really excited," Derick told People. "As a new dad, to have a firstborn son to be our first child and be the leader of his siblings, it is very special."

The duo saw blue with several of Jill's siblings during an ultrasound last week. Apparently, her big family all took guesses as to whether the baby would be a boy or a girl.
"Oh yes, there was some screaming in the room," said Jill, whose due date is in March. "I thought all along we were having a girl. Everyone made their guesses."
Meanwhile, her parents Jim Bob and Michelle had a polar opposite idea. "They were just elated. My mom and dad both thought it was going to be a boy and my grandma did, too," Jill said. "They are all really excited."
As anyone who's familiar with the Duggar family knows, the children all have names that start with J. Eldest son Josh and his wife Anna have started their own tradition by giving their children monikers that start with M. So will Jill and Derick follow suit? "We are not going to do a letter theme," Jill said. "But we may do some kind of theme, like family names."
