It's been almost a full year since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's glorious royal wedding and we're all excited to relive the special event on its anniversary this May. But Markle's longtime best friend and Canadian stylist Jessica Mulroney might be more pumped than anyone: She got an early start and posted a stunning throwback photo on Monday that shows the Duchess of Sussex getting ready to walk down the aisle.
If you remember, Mulroney's twin boys held Markle's veil as she walked into St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. They're in the Instagram photo she posted, adorably doing their job and holding up the five-meter silk creation, which had been embroidered with signature flowers from all of the countries in the British Commonwealth. Mulroney's daughter, Ivy, also had an important role and helped carry Markle's bouquet at one point in the ceremony. Given how involved her kids were, it's makes perfect sense that Mulroney was reminiscing about her friend's big day.
"Almost a year ago…google reminded me,” Mulroney wrote in the caption of the image.
So much has happened since the iconic wedding: Markle is now pregnant and just days away from having her first child with Prince Harry. While Markle has put together her own showstopping maternity looks, there have been rumors that Mulroney has weighed in and given her a few style tips along the way. Markle would want to bounce ideas off someone she trusts—the two have reportedly been close buds since meeting in Toronto several years ago.
And it's not the first time that Mulroney has shown the world how fondly she looks back at the historic celebration. Back in December, Mulroney posted an Instagram video that showed some framed photos from the royal wedding that she keeps on her mantel. Clearly, the memories of her bestie are super important to her.
