We thought we already learned pretty much everything about Jessa Duggar's recent wedding to Ben Seewald, but we were wrong! Sure, we heard all about her massive guest list, bridesmaids dresses, lack of first kiss, and ice cream sundae dessert, but one thing we didn't hear much about was Jessa's own bridal look.
The 21-year-old bride was all about breaking small traditions for her otherwise traditional wedding day. First, more details about her blush cap-sleeve A-line wedding dress created by Allure Bridals have emerged: The beaded bodice, demure scoop neckline, and ethereal skirt all suited Jessa's classic style, but the bride made some minor alterations. Jessa admits she had a seamstress remove several layers of tulle for the sleeker fit she was hoping for. "It was the second dress I tried on," Jessa told People. "I love it."
She kept her accessories simple, adding only a heart-shaped pendant necklace, which was gifted to her by Ben, and a pearl-inspired pin to hold her veil in place. As for her hair and makeup, Jessa enlisted her eight sisters to help her achieve loose, romantic curls and a fresh-face makeup look.
People also reports that the new Mr. and Mrs. Seewald made sure their ceremony was deeply personal, and even wrote their own vows for the occasion. Though they didn't kiss at the altar, the pair did lock lips for guests during the reception.
So what's next for the newlyweds? Not surprisingly, Jessa already has a family of her own on her mind. E! News reports that she's ready to start planning a brood that will top her mother and father's own family! "I might have more than 19 kids," Jessa said. "Probably not all biological. I want to adopt a lot."
