Start fist pumping: Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino is married! The reality star, best known for his antics on MTV's Jersey Shore, tied the knot with his longtime love, Lauren Pesce, on Thursday, November 1, at the Legacy Castle in New Jersey.
"Today I marry my best friend , My College Sweetheart, My everything. Together as a team we can accomplish anything. I am so grateful that you are by my side," Sorrentino wrote in an Instagram caption alongside a shot of the two kissing. "I promise to be my best self everyday & make you proud to call yourself Mrs. Sorrentino. Love you with all my heart. Here’s to our big day."
Pesce also shared her excitement via social media, posting a video of her and her now-hubby saying, "Wedding time. Baby time."
"Happy wedding day honeys! Today I marry my best friend and soul mate, without you I wouldn’t be whole. I love you forever Michael Paul ♥️ now it’s baby making time!" Pesce wrote in a caption.
The couple's wedding photographer, Anthony Serrantonio, shared a shot of the couple from their big day, and the two look stunning.
Us Weekly recently released all of the details from the couple's big day, and it was just as Jersey Shore-worthy as you could imagine. According to the site, the groomsmen, which included Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, all wore matching black and gold sweatsuits before the ceremony.
And for the ceremony, the bride wore a long-sleeved Pronovias gown with a matching veil. “I know what I like! I'm very picky, so I'm very impressed,” the bride said of her look.
According to Us Weekly, the celebration included 205 wedding guests, including the entire Jersey Shore cast (with the exception of Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola). The ceremony also featured Nicole "Snooki" Pelosi and Jenni "Jwoww" Farley's daughters as flower girls. “They’re like nieces to us,” Pesce said of the tots.
The bride walked down the aisle with her father. “It’s every girl’s lifelong dream, in combination with marrying the most important person in your life,” she said. Plus, she knew the party was coming: “It was like the calm before the fun and chaos! It was all perfect.” During the ceremony, the couple exchanged Layna Friedman rings.
Following the bride and groom's romantic ceremony, the guests made their way to the reception, which featured Valducci’s pizza, Cannoli World and macaroons as favors. “If you don’t have that at your wedding, are you really having a wedding?” Sorrentino joked in his interview. The couple rounded out their reception dinner with a five-tier wedding cake, made with marbleized almonds.
“We came out and we had the band do a mashup of two different songs and then we had our first dance,” he said of the couple's romantic dance together. “I was all in my feels at that particular point and you know, I was just beyond happy."
After the couple's first dance, the groomsmen took to the dance floor to perform a specially choreographed dance for the bride and groom, which they did in matching red jumpsuits.
The couple, who were engaged in late April 2018, are celebrating their nuptials before Sorrentino serves eight months in jail for tax evasion. But according to an Us Weekly source, the groom isn't sweating it.
“He just wants to get his time done, come home and start his life over. The wedding has been a great distraction for him,” the source explained. “He and Lauren are just focusing on getting ready for their wedding. Once it’s done, he really wants to spend as much time as he can with her before she leaves. He’s looking forward to working up until he goes away.”
And it looks like Pesce got ready for her wedding in her own way: The bride recently revealed she underwent plastic surgery, getting a nose job before walking down the aisle.
“I’ve wanted to do this since I was about 15,” Pesce told Page Six. “Once we got engaged in February, I knew it was the best timing for me to get this done before our big day.”
“I can't believe that we were able to pull off such an unbelievably beautiful wedding like that,” the reality star said. “We're on cloud nine right now. We had our wedding at a castle fit for a king and a queen.”
