Fans of Jersey Shore—which went off the air in 2012—are well aware that the show, besides being a hilarious comedy of errors, was basically a glorified dating show. Both Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley found their husbands at the shore, and now another cast member, Deena Cortese, is a married woman.
Cortese, one half of the "meatballs," married Christopher Buckner on Saturday at the Laurita Winery in New Egypt, New Jersey, according to E! News. The cast reunited for the occasion, including Polizzi, Farley, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, DJ Pauly DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino, and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino. Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, who was reportedly working on a business deal in Los Angeles, did not attend. "I'm not going to make it to Deena's wedding. I'm actually in the middle of a project, a business investment, so I have to be out here in California," Ortiz-Magro told TooFab. "She knows that I wish her the best. Her and Chris, you know, they're a great couple and I'm always rooting for them and I'm happy that she found someone to spend the rest of her life with." Ronnie is also hoping that Cortese and Buckner, who have been dating since 2011, will have children soon. "I can't wait to hear the news that they are going to have a kid," Ortiz-Magro said. "Two meatballs to complete the pasta."
At the wedding, the bride wore a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and a tulle skirt with lace floral embroidery. She carried a bouquet of orange roses mixed with touches of purple flowers and greenery. Though none of the Jersey Shore cast were included in the bridal party, they shared several images to social media of the celebrations. Cortese also posted shots of herself with her new husband and family and friends from the ceremony and reception, which ended with a large fireworks display. "Just a couple more photos before heading to bed…what an amazing night and I’m so happy to call Christopher my husband 💜 We love all my family and friends that came out to celebrate and support us #justacoupleofbucks," she wrote.
