Hold up: After announcing their split in June 2015, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck might not be headed for divorce after all. According to People, the couple have opted to continue working on their marriage.
One source told People that it was Garner who called off the divorce, while another source claims that both parties are hoping to work things out. "There is always a chance of reconciliation," the source said. "They love each other. They also really, really love their kids, and those kids love their parents."
That love is further evidenced by the fact that both Affleck and Garner—who share children Violet, 11; Seraphina, 8; and Samuel, 5—have made a clear effort to keep their family close, vacationing together with their children after the announcement of their breakup and still living under the same roof. In August, Garner told Today's Natalie Morales that she and her ex are "great friends." ""We are definitely a modern family," she said.
And recently, Affleck hasn't been shy about expressing love for his family, including his wife. In December, the actor told New York Times journalist Chip McGrath during a Times Talk that his greatest achievement is the family he shares with Garner.
"In my career or otherwise, it is the birth of my children. The entrance of my children into the world," he said. Affleck also gave Garner props, calling her the "world's greatest mom." He said of his family: "It's a joy to hang out with them. I think the meaning of life is to make good people."
Affleck and Garner were married in 2005 in the Turks and Caicos while Garner was three months pregnant with Violet. For their secret island wedding, the couple called upon Garner's former Alias costar and friend Victor Garber to officiate. Before "trashing the dress" was even a thing, the newlyweds jumped into the ocean to celebrate!
