Jennifer Aniston shared some interesting details about her wedding to husband Justin Theroux and his proposal in an interview for the October issue of Harper's Bazaar. Comedian Amy Sedaris, who is also best friends with Theroux, interviewed Aniston and got all the details on the actress's adorable marriage.
Aniston told Sedaris that she normally doesn't keep her nails painted, but Theroux's proposal changed that.
"When Justin proposed he put that freaking ring on my finger, and I was like, ‘Holy crap, now I’m gonna have to get manicures,'” the 48-year-old Friends star admitted.
Sedaris and Theroux's relationship goes way back; the two met when Sedaris was waiting tables in New York. Since then, the two have stayed best friends—Theroux even asked Sedaris to be the best man at their wedding.
“Everyone was dressed like a bunch of woodland creatures, and your dress looked so beautiful and breezy,” Sedaris says of Aniston’s 2015 Bel Air, California, wedding. “Justin asked me to be his best man two days before, and I was really scared. Jimmy Kimmel [who officiated at the nuptials] said, ‘Amy, you have one job: Just hand me the rings separately.’ Of course, I handed both to him.”
Aniston added that she had used their wedding footage to create a special gift for Theroux on their second wedding anniversary.
"It’s funny, I just gave Justin our edited video of the wedding for our anniversary, and it was fun to revisit it," Aniston said.
Sedaris told Aniston that she totally approved of their relationship, saying that Aniston is almost like family to her.
"I think of you as my sister-in-law because you’re married to Justin [Theroux], an old good friend of mine. You took him from New York, and it’s fun to see him so in love and happy."
