It's really over, folks. After 10 years of facing questions about her divorce from Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston has had enough. The actress finally laid down the gauntlet, revealing that it isn't, in fact, painful, and that she is, after all, happily engaged to hunky fiancé of two years Justin Theroux.
In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning to discuss her move from comedy to drama in the Screen Actor's Guild and Golden Globe nominated film Cake, Aniston also opened up about her love life — particularly the tabloids's fascination with her divorce from Brad Pitt. "I don't find it painful," Aniston commented on repeatedly being asked about her first marriage to Pitt. "I think it's a narrative that follows you because it's an interesting headline. It's more of a media-driven topic."
But, despite that, she does occasionally speak to her former husband, who is now happily remarried to Angelina Jolie. "We've exchanged good wishes and all that sort of stuff to each other, but not a constant thing," she said about the two occasionally talking. "I mean, do you talk to your ex-wife?"
And, for all of the haters out there, Aniston says that she and Theroux are happily engaged and whatever rumor is flying around, she chooses to ignore it. "We know what our truth is," she said. "That's all just static."
Aniston and Theroux recently vacationed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for a steamy holiday. They looked completely blissful during their sun-drenched trip. You never know, maybe 2015 will be the year these two finally decide to pull the trigger and get married!
