Cue The Office theme music! After eight years of making audiences fall in love with the oh-so-adorable relationship of Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly during The Office's run on NBC, Jenna Fischer says she still regards her co-star John Krasinski as "a type of spouse." Aw!
Fischer told Andy Cohen on Wednesday's Watch What Happens Live that playing the on-screen Dunder Mifflin employee lovebirds led to some "real chemistry" between the stars, People reports.
"There's like a real part of me that is Pam, and there's a real part of him that's Jim, and those parts of us were genuinely in love with one another," she said. "But, in real life, we aren't totally Pam and totally Jim. So in real life we're not like the perfect match."
Fischer added that despite having separate personal lives — both of them are married — Krasinski was "like my partner."
The on-screen couple tied the knot in the sixth season of the hit series, saying "I do" in Niagra Falls when Pam is several months pregnant. So, natch, the expectant Pam wore a flatting empire-waist gown for her nuptials.
In real life, Krasinski, who stars in the new movie 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (and got seriously chiseled for his new role!), is married to fellow actor Emily Blunt. The pair tied the knot in an Italian destination wedding in Lake Como, Italy in July 2010. The couple has a toddler daughter, Hazel, and recently revealed that they'd one day like to give her a younger sister or brother.
Fischer, who is married to writer Lee Kirk, tied the knot the same month and year as her The Office co-star, but tied the knot in Malibu. The couple has two children, a son, Weston Lee, and a daughter, Harper Marie.
