Sometimes it's best just to unplug for a bit. Jenna Dewan-Tatum and her gorgeous husband, Channing Tatum, celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary last week, and the actress/dancer recently dished on the details of their super-low-key camping trip. The couple even brought along their four-year-old daughter, Everly, to enjoy some wilderness fun.
"So, we went on a wilderness camp with our daughter, which is in the middle of nowhere in Michigan," she said during an interview on Live with Kelly and Ryan! "And I can't even tell you where it was because that's part of the deal. If you tell anyone, you can never come back. There's no address, there's no Wi-Fi, there's no service. There's, like, one little Internet cabin."
Dewan-Tatum even complimented her hubby's survivalist skills. (Do you know they make for the best spouses?!). "I call [him] Bear Grylls. He really loves being outdoors, nature," she quipped.
Make no mistake, ditching your phone proved to be a little difficult for the actress at first. Nowadays, it can be hard to imagine a place without decent cell-phone service. "The first day, you're fiending. You're like, 'I need to know my emails!'" she revealed. "And then one day, I was like, 'I'm going to go take a walk,' and Chan was like, 'Yeah, I'm going to take a walk too. We ended up at the Internet café. I was like, 'I know where you were. I see you!'"
Fortunately, the actress shared a few photos of the experience on her Instagram. Activities included hiking, tanning by the lake, and some beachside fun.
Little Everly is turning out to be a lot like her superstar dad, as Dewan-Tatum revealed the four-year-old learned how to make s'mores, fish, sail, and play baseball with pine cones. "She loved it!" the proud mama said. Like father, like daughter!
