Who needs a Halloween costume when you can wear a wedding dress? Definitely not the always-chic Jamie Chung, who married her longtime love Bryan Greenberg at an October 31 wedding where we finally caught a glimpse of her Monique Lhuillier gown! And guys, it is gorgeous. This just might be the best Halloween treat we got this year!
The pair wed at the El Capitan Canyon Resort in Santa Barbara, where Chung's soft, romantic dress, blew gently in the California breeze during the outdoor ceremony. The gown itself is reportedly a genius combination of two pieces from the Monique Lhuillier spring 2015 and fall 2015 runway shows, according to Glamour. On top, Chung stunned with long, vintage lace sleeves, which appears to be from — or inspired by — the bodice of Lhuillier's Autumn Gown. But the Once Upon a Time actress spiced up the sweet look with a knee-high slit and trendy tulle overskirt, à la Lhuillier's Fabrienne Gown. The lovely result? A unique and unmistakably romantic couture gown, breezy and effortless enough for an outdoor wedding, but plenty chic for the trendy actress! Can we just be her for Halloween next year?
Chung also previously revealed to People that her dress would include something extra special (besides gorgeous lace sleeves, tulle, and the Monique Lhuillier label, of course!) — her something old! "There's this coin that my sister gave to me that my dad used to carry around in his pocket," she shared. "It's been his good-luck charm all his life, so I kind of want to sew in a little pocket for that." Such a great idea!
