While celebrities, A-listers, and the royally-related are all waiting with bated breath to see if they'll snag a coveted spot on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding guest list, James Cordon has his eye on a different invitation. Instead of the main event, Cordon is trying to finagle himself an invite to Prince Harry's bachelor party.
During a recent appearance on CBS This Morning, James Cordon told host Gayle King how Americans tend to be more enthusiastic than the Brits across the pond. "I think inherently as British people we just don't get quite as excited about anything as America does and to our detriment many times," he explained, leading to a far more serious case of royal wedding fever for the U. S. of A. "When someone like Prince Harry is getting married, we go, 'Oh, great. We should get a little, tiny flag,' and America goes, 'This is amazing!'" said Cordon, according to E! News
At the mention of the royal wedding, Gayle King immediately volunteered to be Cordon's plus-one (we would've too, TBH), but the late-night host doubts he'll score an invite. "I don't think I'll be there," he admitted. Instead, Cordon has his sights set on an invitation to Prince Harry's bachelor party—or stag party, as they call it across the pond.
"I just want to go on the bachelor party," Cordon said. "That's all I'm interested in with Harry,"
"Wedding sure…he's going to have a hell of a bachelor party—that's what I'm looking forward to."
Can you blame the guy? We wouldn't say no to partying with the prince. (Remember his wild bachelor days?) But despite Harry's rowdy youth, this pre-wedding event will probably be on the tame side. According to a previous report by Us Weekly, Prince William has allegedly been given the task of arranging his younger brother's bachelor party and is planning a rather low-key event for the celebration. “Don’t expect anything wild,” an inside source told the gossip mag of Prince Harry's upcoming bash.
Still, this is one princely party we wouldn't want to miss if we were Cordon. Couldn't you just picture the "Carpool Karaoke" host and Harry hitting up a karaoke bar?
