Raise your hand if you always thought James Blunt's '04 hit 'You're Beautiful' was just soOoOo uber romantic. Now that your hand is raised, we're here, or rather James is here, to tell you (in a series of expletives) how utterly creepy the tune actually is. We know, we know — How he could he right?! Well, it's best to get the truth out now before you go blaring the song on your big day.

"Everyone goes, 'Ah, he's so romantic. I want 'You're Beautiful' as my wedding song.' These people are fcked up," the singer revealed in a recent Huffington Post article. "You get labeled with these things like, 'Oh, James Blunt. Isn't he just a soft romantic?' Well, fck that. No, I'm not," he told HuffPost. "'You're Beautiful' is not this soft romantic fcking song. It's about a guy who's high as a fcking kite on drugs in the subway stalking someone else's girlfriend when that guy is there in front of him, and he should be locked up or put in prison for being some kind of perv."

Now that your mind has officially exploded, it's worth revisiting the lyrics. Here's a tidbit that definitely supports Blunt's claims:

My life is brilliant

My love is pure

I saw an angel

Of that I'm sure

She smiled at me on the subway

She was with another man

But I won't lose no sleep on that

'Cause I've got a plan

You're beautiful

You're beautiful

You're beautiful, it's true

I saw your face in a crowded place

And I don't know what to do

'Cause I'll never be with you

So yeah, maaaybe not the best choice for your first dance. If you're looking for an actually legitimate romantic song to dance to, try out one of these tunes which, thankfully, haven't been done to death.

Now here's to hoping Blunt's early 2000s hit stays off of wedding dance floors for good.
