One of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors is opening up about marriage and why he hasn't tied the knot yet — so, naturally, we're hanging on every word. Jake Gyllenhaal, whose dating history includes a slew of stunning stars, from Reese Witherspoon to Kirsten Dunst to Taylor Swift, confessed to radio host Howard Stern exactly what prevented him from settling down in the past.
"There are a lot of beautiful women and there are opportunities," the actor, who's currently promoting his new film Southpaw, confessed on Stern's Sirius XM radio show, "but... I believe in monogamy. I believe in, when you meet somebody who's right, it'll be right and you'll stay there."
The 34-year-old actor told Stern that he's been in love two or three times in the past, but he's not in love now. Gyllenhaal, who's recently been romantically linked to his Southpaw costar Rachel McAdams, said that he blames himself for those relationships not turning into anything more serious.

"Each time you were in love, something held you back from committing and get married," Stern prompted. "Yeah," Gyllenhaal admitted. "Me." "It was you?" Stern asked. "Yeah. It was me, man," Gyllenhaal said. "I think I probably just got scared."
But, if and when he gets married, the actor said he will look to the relationship his sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal, has with her husband, actor Peter Sarsgaard, as a model. "They're definitely a standard for me," he said, adding, "based on their kids and how great they are with their kids," he said.
It sounds like all Gyllenhaal needs now is to find his leading lady — where do we sign up?!
