If Simon Konecki wanted to keep his plans a secret to propose to international superstar and girlfriend Adele, well, it's too late for that now. The Daily Star reports that Konecki, a 36-year-old entrepreneur in Brighton, is considering proposing to the singer on her 24th birthday in May, which just so happens to be a holiday weekend in the UK—romantic getaway for two, perhaps?
Whether or not the rumors prove true, it's clear that Adele is very much in love with Konecki, having gone public with the relationship last month. "He's great," Adele told 60 Minutes in an interview that aired before her triumphant Grammy's performance. "I'm madly in love."
And it's a good thing, too, because the singer admitted she doesn't intend to write only powerful breakup anthems. "I don't want to be like, 'Babe, I'm sorry, got to breakup. I've got a new album to deliver,'" Adele said. "Also, I can't write another breakup record. That would be a real cliché. I think people would be like, "Naw, we've had enough now. Cheer up!" Based on the six Grammys she took home this year, there's no risk of Adele's fans saying that anytime soon.
