We've seen our fair share of foodie weddings at BRIDES. Everything from the famed "Pizza Cake" wedding to walls decked with doughnuts, it's pretty plain to see that bride's big days are seeing a shift towards experience over opulence. Hey, our stomachs can't complain! This much is true for one hungry couple from California who crashed a nearby In-N-Out for a surprise reception.
The newlyweds, Juan Pablo Cervantes and Vanessa Cervantes, originally joked with their wedding party about hosting the reception at the fast food joint. But what started off as a passing joke quickly became a formal plan when the couple decided to just say screw it and give the people what they wanted: greasy, juicy cheeseburgers and cheese-topped fries, natch. After hours of posing for photos, these bridesmaids and groomsmen totally deserved an In-N-Out treat! They weren't the only ones who were ravenous, either. Juan himself ordered a Double-Double with Animal-style fries, while his new wife placed a Double-Double order sans onions. Reciting your vows can work up quite the appetite, no?
The reception location was also a perfect opportunity for the groom to get his hands on his fave meal, since he is now stationed in New Mexico for the United States Air Force and can't grab a Double-Double in that area. "I've been gone for a while and we really like In-N-Out," he told KTLA.
Before they headed to the famous L.A. joint, Juan and Vanessa said their "I dos" at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Rowland Heights. They're now said to be jetting off to their honeymoon in England where, sadly, they won't be finding any In-N-Outs to dine in. Fish 'n chips it is?
