Idris Elba Marries Sabrina Dhowre in a 3-Day Moroccan Celebration

Idris Elba is officially off the market.

The actor wed model Sabrina Dhowre in an extravegent three-day wedding in Morocco, People reports. The wedding took place on Friday, April 26th at the Ksar Char Bagh Hotel, a boutique luxury property in Marrakesh with sprawling gardens. The bride wore a custom off-the-shoulder Vera Wang gown, which she paired with an aisle skimming veil and intricate diamond earrings. For his part, Elba kept it classic in a black suit by designer Ozwald Boateng.

The couple's big wedding weekend began on Thursday night with an over-the-top rehearsal dinner at Amanjena, where family and friends toasted the bride and groom over a rehearsal dinner . “There was a huge festive party with camels and fire dancers and dancing,” a source told People of the event. And on Saturday, they continued celebrating at a festival-inspired white party.

Elba and Dhowre met and fell in love in 2017, when he was filming The Mountain Between Us. “Falling in love while making a movie about falling in love is pretty special,” he said a the time.
