The Sexiest Man Alive might also be the luckiest man alive. ICYMI, Idris Elba got to DJ the royal wedding—as in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's now iconic nuptials. But even if you're a famous actor and producer, performing at the royal wedding is no easy gig to score. So how does one get such a job? According to Elba, Prince Harry actually asked HIM to work their wedding—not the other way around.

"Harry and I, we've hung out a couple of times through his dad—his dad's charity the Prince's Trust helped me out as a young actor. So I do a lot of work with them, Harry and Prince William, a few times," the Luther actor said on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday. "And Harry came to a couple of parties that I DJ'd, and he was like, 'Hey man, what are you doing on the date?' And I was like, 'Nothing.' He goes, 'Hmm, would you DJ at my wedding?' I was like, 'Is this a joke? Are you joking?' And he's like, serious."

"It was great," he added.

This wasn't Elba's first foray into the world of disc jockeying, though. Last month, the 46-year-old told Ryan Seacrest at the 2019 Golden Globes that "I play house, been DJ'ing my whole life," adding, "I'm gonna rock Coachella, I can't wait."

The Avengers: Infinity War star has yet to mention if he'll be the entertainment for his own big day. In February 2018, Elba popped the question to fiancé Sabrina Dhowre, nearly a year after they first met while Elba was filming his 2017 romance thriller The Mountain Between Us.

“Falling in love while making a movie about falling in love is pretty special,” the actor told People's Jess Cagle at the time during an episode of the Jess Cagle Interview.

Idris, if you're taking requests, we'd love for you to DJ our weddings too.
