Got 99 wedding problems and all of a sudden your bridesmaids are one? It's the last thing you need tossed into your wedding adventure when all of a sudden a bridesmaid starts to stir up some trouble. So whether the added drama is about them refusing to wear the bridesmaid dress or demanding they get a plus one, here are four ways you can handle a difficult bridesmaid and get rid of another stress-induced headache.
1. Ask them to step down
That sounds like something only naughty politicians are asked to do, but if your bridesmaid is causing a ruckus or suddenly goes MIA and stops answering your emails and your calls, you can ask them to step down from their role as a bridesmaid. Beware: things will get a little awkward.
2. Have a chat with them
Sometimes an old school face-to-face conversation is all it takes to put an end to the shenanigans.
3. Don't focus on the negative
Instead of dwelling on a bridesmaid who is giving you the ultimate headache, spend more time with your other bridesmaids who are a source of positively and endless support.
4. Remember the basics
Before your wedding adventure, this person meant a whole lot to you. After your wedding, they should mean even more to you. If things are rocky now, you can even decide to wait until after your wedding to mend the broken friendship.
