It's always tough when the people you chose as your bridesmaids aren't fulfilling their bridal party responsibilities. If one of your bridesmaids isn't as excited about planning the wedding as you thought she would be, things could get a little tense. If you're having second thoughts on one of your leading ladies, approaching her about the situation can be difficult; not to mention extremely emotional.
My bridesmaid seems so uninterested in my wedding planning. I don't mind if she wants to quit, but how can I tell her that without offending her?
Before making any rash decisions, think about a few things: Why did you ask her to be your bridesmaid in the first place? Then consider exactly why you want to fire her. Were there misunderstandings or did she intentionally do something to offend or upset you? Be honest, not only with her but with yourself.
After some serious consideration, set up a day to hang out one on one. Ask her how she feels about the bridal party and her role in it. Be completely open, but don't be harsh. Make sure to listen to what she has to say. Let her know that you chose her as a bridesmaid for a reason, but you'd totally understand if it's just not something she can handle doing right now. You never know, maybe she wants to quit but doesn't know how to tell you. Communication is key! Be sure to let her know that she is someone special to you. Just because she's not a bridesmaid anymore, it doesn't mean she's not your friend.
