While a night on the town with the girls is fun, who would say “no” to extending that night to a few days (or even a week!) of girl time? There’s no better way to mark the beginning of this new chapter in your life than with an epic bachelorette party! It's easy to justify the time when you're the bride, but how much time can you ask your friends to commit to your last hurrah? Our experts weigh in.
Before you book flights and hotels for your bachelorette party, check in with your girls. Figure out dates that work for everyone, then see how much time they’ll be able to take. Some might be able to spare a few days to turn it into a long weekend, while others may be saving up their days off and have less time to work with. Remember, they'll want to be able to use those vacation days for your wedding! You should also keep costs in mind, since a longer trip does mean more nights in a hotel and more meals out at restaurants. If you have your heart set on a destination trip, consider somewhere where you’ll get your fill in 3 days, like a city where you can hit the highlights and not feel like you've missed out. An all-inclusive beach trip is also great, since you'll have a fantastic time no matter how many days you have to lie on the beach (and costs will be easier to predict and manage upfront, too!).
While you may be all for taking a week to head to the beach, you should also consider how much time off YOU will need to save for the wedding. Make sure you can get a day or two off before your wedding, especially if you're getting married somewhere other than your hometown, and be sure to start saving time for your honeymoon!
