Yes, Hilary Swank is officially married. Yes, the wedding was gorgeous. And yes, we're helplessly swooning over her Elie Saab wedding dress. Welcome to the show. On August 18, actor and producer Hilary Swank tied the knot with her love, social venture entrepreneur Philip Schneider, in the California redwoods—and Vogue shared with us all the to-die-for details.

After getting engaged in the Colorado mountains in 2016, these now-newlyweds knew that they wanted a gorgeous natural setting to be the focal point of their wedding day—and one close to their California home, so that Swank's father (who received a lung transplant three years ago) would be able to walk her down the aisle. “We found exactly what we were looking for at the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California,” Swank shared with Vogue. “It’s a stunning private community surrounded by 20,000 acres of conservancy and an intimate redwood grove populated with trees that are over 800 years old.” The stunning setting became inspiration for the couple's wedding invitations, featuring a simple sketch of the redwoods, designed by Emily Asher of Emily Rose Ink.

And Swank and Schneider ended up saying I do under those centuries-old redwood trees, with the bride walking down the leaf-strewn aisle to one of her and her groom's favorite songs, Ludovico Einaudi’s "Two Sunsets." And to match the ethereal setting, Swank donned a similarly heavenly Elie Saab wedding dress, featuring gauzy Chantilly lace, silk chiffon, organza silk, and beaded floral embroidery. "I’ve loved Elie Saab for years and was thrilled to have him design my dress," said Swank “I wanted something romantic that felt as timeless as the redwood grove where we were to be married, and he delivered—designing something that far surpassed my greatest expectations. It was everything I imagined and more.”

After exchanging personal vows it was time for the reception, which was expertly planned by Allison Weddings and held in a warm and rustic barn, illuminated with globe string lights and romantic, flickering candlesticks. There, the couple celebrated with their nearest and dearest, including maid of honor Mariska Hargitay and friend Emmy Rossum.

Post-wedding cake (a gluten-free and vegan chocolate confection, FedEx'ed straight from Mexico City!), the bride and groom slipped into custom costumes designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri of Dior for a choreographed tap dance number, à la Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers! Christian Louboutin even crafted tap shoes for the newlyweds.

And the dancing didn't stop even after this modern Fred and Ginger took their bows. The celebrations continued on well into the night, even resulting in an impromptu after-party. “Everyone was having so much fun and didn’t want the party to end, so we actually had to start dancing to wireless headphones into the wee hours of the next day, so the distant neighbors wouldn’t be kept up by the sound system,” Swank told Vogue.

Now, that's a party you wish you scored an invite to!
