Here's Why Prince Philip Might Not Attend Princess Eugenie's Wedding

It's a valid point

Though Prince Philip was in attendance for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, he might not RSVP 'yes' to his granddaughter, Princess Eugenie's, wedding.

According to a new report, Prince Philip might not be in attendance for his 28-year-old granddaughter's wedding on October 12 because, well, the Prince pretty much makes his own rules. Meaning if there is an important family event to attend, he'll still be the final decision maker in whether or not he is present.

“He does what he wants,” a source told People. “He made a supreme effort for Harry. I would be very surprised if he did go, because he is so estranged from Fergie. I think he will decide at the 99th hour.”

According to reports, the Prince hasn't been on good terms with Eugenie’s mother Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, since she separated from Prince Andrew in 1992. But if you were worried that the Prince is only snubbing Eugenie, fear not: he hasn't had the greatest attendance record recently.

Neither the Queen nor Prince Philip attended Prince Louis' christening earlier this month, and it was rumored in the spring that he might not make it to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding. To be fair, Philip is still recovering from hip surgery he received in April (the man just turned 97, let's give him a break).

Prince Philip has remained out of the public eye in recent weeks, but has attended a few polo matches with the Queen and took a 190-mile journey to Romsey, in Hampshire, a few weeks ago. While Princess Eugenie's nuptials aren't out of the question, there's a good chance the Prince might not be up for another royal wedding anytime soon.
