Destination weddings are tricky things. Often, couples must choose between an exotic and romantic location, or one that is appropriate for guests of all ages. Luckily, The Landings hotel in St. Lucia is a perfect mix of both.
The hotel's staff will work with you to create a memorable wedding weekend for you and your guests. Take your friends and family on a dolphin and whale-watching tour along the west coast of the island. Or, if you're a little more adventurous, book a day of zip-lining in the St. Lucian rainforest—they even have a small-scale course appropriate for kids!
Guest rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated (no cheesy, over-the-top tropical-themed décor here) and offer breath-taking views of beach or harbor. Select rooms also boast a jetted plunge pool on the patio (a must after a long day exploring the island). Each suite features a fully equipped kitchen. Guests can even submit a list of desired groceries to the hotel, so that their pantry will be stocked with cereal, fresh fruit, and other treats for arrival—perfect for families traveling with young children.
The property features two restaurants: Be sure to visit The Beach Club for breakfast and try their signature French toast, which is topped with a mouthwatering mix of mango cream cheese, toasted almonds, and guava syrup. In February the resort unveiled a new fine dining restaurant, The Palms, which serves sophisticated dishes featuring local, sustainable seafood like oven-roasted lobster accented with anchovy, garlic and olive butter.
Wedding ceremonies are often held on the property's 800-foot white sand beach beneath an arch decorated with locally grown, tropical flowers. Thia Harvey, The Landings' wedding coordinator, works with couples to create a personalized, one-of-a-kind events. Receptions may be held at the property's restaurants or elsewhere on the grounds.
