For hardcore Harry Potter fans, nothing says "I love you" like showing a thorough appreciation of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. That's exactly what Reddit user Katiemack777's fiancé did when he proposed: He popped the question with a custom-designed ring, featuring several gems that each represent Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff—the four magical houses from the famed fictional school of wizardry.

The excited Harry Potter superfan shared a picture of the ring in a Reddit thread, writing, "My (now) fiancé knows that I love Harry Potter almost as much as I love him, so he designed a pretty special ring for me.” While fantasy-themed pieces of jewelry can sound kitschy, the image that Katiemack777 posted shows that her future husband actually put the creative piece together with lots of careful thought and taste. The ring is really pretty, and it features a main center diamond surrounded by two additional bands braided together on the top and bottom.

Those bands include a red ruby and green tsavorite on top and a yellow and blue sapphire on the bottom. The colors are associated with the four Hogwarts houses. In a later comment, Katiemack777 revealed that her fiancé designed the ring himself through Shane Co.

The Harry Potter-loving corner of the Internet was, of course, obsessed. "I'm already married and we didn't get rings because neither of us like wearing them and also money. But I might change my mind because of this ring. This ring, I love," one person commented on her post. Someone else chimed in to say, "I love that your ring is drawing inspiration from something else that you love! Wedding rings are symbols of that, after all. If someone saw it and had no idea that it was HP-inspired, it’s still just a unique, gorgeous ring.

Congrats!" We can't think of anything more magical, except maybe a Harry Potter-themed bachelorette party.
