Harry Connick Jr. is the latest celebrity to give us serious #marriagegoals. Turns out, the American Idol judge can't stop gushing about his gorgeous wife, Jill Goodacre, even after 21 years of wedded bliss.
When asked about his beautiful wife — Goodacre was one of Victoria's Secret's main models in the 1980s and early 1990s — the American Idol judge told People about his adorable 25-year dilemma. "She's a mystery to me," he said. "I genuinely want to know what she thinks. I want to know what she's doing and there's a lot about her that I still don't know. I married up!"
The couple celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary in April, with Connick posting an adorable #tbt to Instagram to commemorate the happy occasion. The photo, a sweet shot from their 1994 nuptials, was captioned, "21 years with the greatest woman on earth... happy anniversary, Jill."
The jazz singer — whose library of wedding song knockouts is known to provide the perfect ambiance for kicking-off any first dance — also revealed his strict policy on withholding from a physical beauty focus when it comes to raising his three daughters, Georgia, 19, Charlotte, 13, and Sarah, 18. "For us, the first thing that we say when they walk into a room isn't how pretty they are," the singer told People. "It's funny how with young men, you don't really say, 'Oh, look how handsome you look,' but when a girl walks into a room, you say 'Oh, look how beautiful you look.' My girls are beautiful, [but] all three of them are geniuses." Do we hear an amazing girl power chant?

We can only hope some of Hollywood's newest parents are taking a page out of Connick Jr.'s playbook when it comes to raising their famous children. New parents, Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling, recently welcomed their baby girl, Esmeralda, back in September, leaving everyone waiting to see how this stunning duo would conquer parenting. Another seriously stunning twosome, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, have managed to keep their new daughter, James, out of the shutterbug spotlight. "I think it's keeping a boundary that there's this world that is the job and the world that is the home," said the new dad when discussing his quiet home life in Bedford, New York.
When it comes to spreading words of wisdom from some of Hollywood's longest lasting marriages, there is no better spokesman than Tom Hanks and his successful 27-year marriage to wife, Rita Wilson. "I think the end result is that we got married for all the right reasons," the Oscar winner told Entertainment Tonight, further providing proof that his talented pair can do no wrong!
