True life: I'm engaged to Derek Jeter, and we live happily ever after in the Caribbean. No, this isn't a game of M.A.S.H. (flashback to high school bus rides), but it IS the reality for Jeter's fiancé, Hannah Davis, who lives with the retired baseball star in the Caribbean on their "forever" honeymoon.
The model and bride-to-be recently shared with GQ a little peek inside her (normally hush-hush) life with her hubby-to-be in St. Thomas. The two live inside an open-air-porch West Indies plantation house, and as she puts it, "It feels like a Fourth of July barbecue every day there." The island home has prime views of the waterfront, as you'd expect, and there's no shortage of space for the couple and Jeter's family's dogs. Sounds divine; we're just a tad green with envy!
Davis told E! Online that she hasn't started the wedding planning, but we assume it will probably include some time in St. Thomas for the ceremony. Either way, the lovebirds are keeping their plans quite private. The two got engaged in October after years of dating. Adhering to their private ways, the couple's engagement announcement was a subtle post on his website The Players' Tribune. Davis' engagement ring was a beautiful and timeless round-cut stone somewhere around 4 carats, estimated between $150,000-$300,000. Swoon!
In the spirit of giving, Davis also got Jeter his first dog ever, a Mastiff, as a Christmas gift last year. The dog stays with them on the island along with Jeter's other family dogs. Jeter wrote on his website about the furry gift, "He was a Christmas gift last year from my fiancé, whose family had Mastiffs growing up. I've never owned a pet in my life."
Now that they're enjoying life in the Carribbean, it sounds like wedding bells (and babies?!) may be on the horizon. After all, they'll need something to do to pass the time besides hanging out on the beach. That #honeymoonlyfe though.
Girl, you enjoy that man candy and 25-year-old engaged-life retirement. We're jealous!
