For a good, old fashioned bachelorette party, there's no better place to celebrate than Cabo San Lucas, Mexico—which is exactly where Gwyneth Paltrow has decided to visit with some of her closest girlfriends before she ties the knot with fiancé Brad Falchuk.
According to People magazine, Paltrow landed in sunny Mexico on Wednesday with a group of pals that includes Cameron Diaz and Stella McCartney. Diaz even reportedly booked a private jet for all 12 of the women. “[Paltrow] looked ecstatic,” a source told People. “They have many fun activities planned, including pool time, spa and fun dinners.”
The 45-year-old actress officially announced her engagement on the January cover of Goop magazine, but sources confirmed the news back in November 2017. The couple met on the set of Glee—which Falchuk co-created and executive produced, and Paltrow guest starred on as substitute teacher Holly Holliday—in 2014, and began dating shortly after. Falchuk proposed with a huge blue sapphire ring on a diamond band, which the Goop founder later joked could double as a yoni egg (meaning, a semiprecious stone inserted into the vagina to "cultivate sexual energy, clear chi pathways in the body, intensify femininity, and invigorate your life force").
This will be Paltrow's second marriage; she has two children, Apple, 13, and Moses, 12, with ex-husband Chris Martin. But her enthusiasm for planning the big day is high, especially considering she and Martin decided to elope in 2003. “I’m excited about everything!” Paltrow said in February. “I’ve never had a wedding before. So even though I’m 45, I sort of feel like a 21-year-old.” But still, it seems her impending nuptials will be anything but traditional. “I think I’m [too] old to have a big wedding and a big ol’ white dress and all that,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I gotta dial it back.”
Here's hoping she doesn't dial back the fun at her bachelorette party this weekend.
