Prepare yourself: This weekend might be an extremely Goop-y one. Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk are planning on tying the knot in a very private ceremony at their Hamptons home sometime in the next few days, multiple sources with "close ties to the wedding" claimed this week to Harper's Bazaar. Other sources have corroborated these reports to E! News, specifying that the nuptials will go down on Saturday, specifically, just two days after Paltrow celebrated her 46th birthday.
According to E!, the wedding weekend will feature a packed slate of activities for the guests, including a birthday party for the Goop founder, cocktail parties (yes, plural!), and a round of golf, if they're so inclined. Those guests, per the sources, will include a whole host of Paltrow and Falchuk's A-list friends, like Cameron Diaz, Robert Downey Jr., and Reese Witherspoon. It's unknown whether Chris Martin will drop by to watch his ex consciously re-couple with another man, but it seems likely, since he and Paltrow have remained remarkably close since their 2014 split.
Though the wedding is sure to be filled with Paltrow's signature Goop-y taste, it'll likely be due more to the work of a talented team of planners than to any micromanaging from Paltrow herself. In an interview with E! in June, the Oscar winner explained that she wasn't exactly taking the lead in her wedding planning. "I'm very busy, so I'm actually not that involved in it. I have so much going on and I'm sort of outsourcing that," she said. "I'm probably the least 'bridezilla' person—probably to a fault—that has ever come across my wedding planner's office doors."
Paltrow and Falchuk, who first met on the set of Glee when Paltrow was guest starring and Falchuk was executive producing, have been dating since 2014. They confirmed their engagement earlier this year in a joint statement, which was followed a few days later by the reveal of their cutesy cover image for the "Sex & Love" issue of Goop magazine. "We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship," the pair said in the statement.
In April, immediately after Paltrow returned home from her bachelorette getaway to Cabo, the couple gathered their nearest and dearest for a blowout engagement party. The black-tie event took place at the Los Angeles Theatre, was hosted by Ryan Murphy, and had a guest list packed with stars like Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson, and Chelsea Handler. Though there was some speculation at the time that the festive soirée had actually been a wedding ceremony, subsequent reports claimed that Paltrow would be walking down the aisle on the East Coast sometime after Labor Day—reports that now appear to be coming true.
