Remember when George Clooney was a notorious bachelor, jumping from girlfriend to girlfriend, and seemingly destined to live out the rest of his illustrious life and career without ever walking down the aisle again? We barely do. Ever since he married his wife Amal in September, he's been every bit the committed, devoted husband we always knew deep down he could be. And on Good Morning America earlier today, he further buried his former playboy prankster reputation.
"That's right, I'm a married man now," the Oscar winner said in an interview promoting his upcoming movie Tomorrowland. "Everything's different now. Actually it is. I was going to make a joke but it is, actually."
Though he'd avoided marriage for much of his A-list movie star career, he has no regrets about marrying his human rights barrister wife. "I couldn't be happier," he continued. "We're having a really fun time. We're working on fixing up a house in England that we'll be spending a lot of time in just outside of London. And we've been sort of traveling the world. We're on our way to Shanghai."
He did note, though, that Amal's career — originally based out of London, she's been teaching at Columbia Law School in New York City for the past few months — has made their plan to not spend more than a week apart hard to achieve. "She actually has a day job," he said. "She has to like, get people out of jail." Her career is one of the things he loves most about her, so we're sure he's not complaining too much.
Sorry, ladies — George is a happily taken man now.
