George and Amal Clooney have been capturing our hearts ever since they first got together, and it's no wonder former forever bachelor George decided to leave his single ways for an amazing catch like Amal, whose birthday is Wednesday. We can only imagine what birthday surprises he has planned for his gorgeous right-hand women — just one glimpse at the way George looks at Amal and we have no doubt he'll have something pretty spectacular planned.
While the Clooneys keep their relationship details pretty private, the actor is now opening up on how the two make it work. Hint — technology plays a big part. "FaceTime, we'll do that, mostly it's just try not to go very long... We spend an awful lot of time together. We try not to have these huge gaps," The actor told Extra at the premiere of his new movie Hail, Caesar! "We're able to manage, so far, between my work and her work and the things we're doing, we're able to manage it pretty well." During the premiere, Amal was at his side in a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture red and white mini-dress that's giving us major Valentine's Day date inspiration.
George has kept super tight-lipped on the celebration he has planned for his wife but one thing's for sure — co-star Channing Tatum will not be making an appearance. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight the Magic Mike XXL star offered to pop out of a cake for Amal's celebration, George not only declined but he had a message for Tatum. "I'd like to stay married... Stay away from my wife, man!"
The Clooneys tied the knot in Italy in September 2014 during a stunning ceremony with just 100 of their nearest and dearest. Ever since news of their nuptials became public, George hasn't stopped gushing about married life. "That's right, I'm a married man now," the actor said on Good Morning America. "Everything's different now. Actually it is. I was going to make a joke but it is, actually."
When he's not gushing about his new husband role he's gushing about his highly accomplished wife. "She's an amazing human being and she's caring," he said. "And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I've ever met. And she's got a great sense of humor. There's a number of reasons why [I fell in love]."
