The World's Strongest Man is now the World's Strongest Husband. Games of Thrones star Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson married his girlfriend, Kelsey Henson, over the weekend, Us Weekly reports. Best known for playing the ruthless Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane on the hit HBO show, Björnsson used the occasion to show off his softer side.
"It is with great pleasure that I now get to call Kelsey Morgan Henson my wife!" the 29-year-old strongman-turned-actor wrote on Instagram on Saturday, alongside a black and white photo of him holding his bride—who, per Us Weekly, clocks in at 5-foot-2 to his 6-foot-9—in his arms. "I get to hold this beautiful woman through thick and thin for the rest of our lives! I'm so excited for all of the future adventures we will tackle side by side," he continued.
The nuptials reportedly took place in Björnsson's native Iceland. Henson, who, according to Us Weekly, is originally from Canada, also shared a photo on Instagram of her and Björnsson hand-in-hand, with Iceland's starkly gorgeous landscape as the backdrop. "Looking forward to pulling this big guy around for the rest of my life," she wrote. "@thorbjornsson I love you now and forever and promise to stand by your side through all that life throws at us. I love you baby!"
The newlyweds reportedly met in 2017, when Henson was waiting tables in her native Canada and asked to take a photo with the imposing Björnsson, who was named the World's Strongest Man in 2018. Only a few weeks later, Björnsson took Henson to Iceland to show off his motherland. Judging by Henson's Instagram feed, the duo have been inseparable ever since.
