How does one tell their true love "I'll be there for you"? With a Friends-themed proposal, of course! This British groom-to-be just popped the question to his Friends-fanatic girlfriend with a sitcom-worthy proposal, inspired by the beloved TV show. Let's just call this "The One with the Proposal," shall we?
Mitesh Jadva recreated the memorable opening scene from Friends, according to Refinery 29, complete with that iconic couch and fringed lamp, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Of course, he replaced New York City with London, but besides the locale, this perfect proposal couldn't be any more spot-on. Jadva even decked out the park in tons of romantic, flickering candles (à la Monica's proposal to Chandler, in case you needed a '90s rewind).
"As cheesy as it sounds, seeing her smiling the whole way through made it all seem worth five years of waiting for the moment," Jadva told The Daily Mail of the big moment with his bride-to-be, Anisha Patel. After a romantic dinner, Jadva walked his unsuspecting girlfriend into the park — and straight onto the set of her favorite show!
But that wasn't all. When the to-be-wed pair sat down, a group of West End singers approached, crooning the Friends theme song, "I'll Be There For You." As Patel was being serenaded, Jadva knelt down and popped the question. "When we took a seat and the singers came out. Anisha shed a few happy tears and that's when I knew I'd done my job right," Jadva said. Could these two BE any cuter?
