Each week we take a deeper look at one of our favorite new love stories, and today's inspiration comes courtesy of Kate and Paul's wedding at a French chateau.
Best Day Productions joined the bride and groom at Chateau Rigaud, a medieval chateau near France's Bordeaux region, for an ultraromantic celebration with just the right touch of whimsy. The bride's embellished gown featured fringe details on her sleeves. As an extra touch, she topped her loose, wavy hairstyle with a cool silver headpiece. While Kate's look was somewhat modern, her 'maids channeled a more vintage vibe with their two-tone gold-and-white dresses featuring a high-low hemline. Paul and his groomsmen rocked blue suits with fun patterned bowties.
While the ceremony took place in a church, guests gathered outdoors for a fun-filled reception after the couple was officially married. But before they joined the party, Kate and Paul snuck away for some quality time among the vines at nearby vineyards. They rejoined their guests just in time for the reception, and everyone found their seating assignments on fun feather escort cards. That feather motif was then carried through to the reset of the party, where chandeliers were strung with gold-dipped feathers for a unique look.
After dinner in one of the chateau's all-white rooms, guests really let loose for the party. A band kept the dance floor packed, and friends and family surprised the couple with hilarious wigs! The night closed out with a memorable firework show, with guests gathered on the lawn for a stunning display in the night's sky.
