There's pretty much only one thing a best man is responsible for — other than the reception speech and making sure the groom doesn't wind up baking on a sunny roof in Las Vegas The Hangover-style — and that's being in charge of the wedding bands. Seriously. One simple task, guys! But hey, we get it. You had a little too much whiskey in the groom suite and left the rings, well, you don't know even where. It happens more often than we'd like to admit.
One hilarious best man is making light of the situation with a YouTube video that's sure to steal your puppy-lovin' heart. The clip starts out mid-ceremony when the officiant asks the best man to hand over the rings. Craig, the groom's #1 guy, reaches into his suit pockets only to realize the rings are nowhere to be found. In a panic, he runs out of the room to find them. The guests, clearly dumbstruck about the situation that just unfolded, look at each other in confusion. That is, until a little hero comes to save the day.
In the background, a video begins to play. The audience turns to face the screen and are overjoyed to see the couple's adorable French bulldog, George, snoozing in bed in a place we assume to be his home. An iPhone begins to buzz next to his head, interrupting his squirrel-filled dreams. He immediately jumps into action when he realizes the wedding bands are sitting on his bedside table and sprints off to his owners' venue. But George can't go to a wedding looking so disheveled! He realizes this and turns around to take a shower and get dressed in his finest tux. Now that he's dapper AF, he heads straight to the venue and delivers the wedding rings like the true hero he is.
While we're obsessed with this too-cute way to incorporate a pup on your big day, we have plenty of other ideas for the more low-key couple try out (If your pooch cooperates, of course!). Now let's give a standing ovation to George, AKA a very, very good boy.
