Fans aren't the only ones freaking out about Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson's engagement. The singer's older brother, Frankie Grande, is also ecstatic about the news. “Oh my God, I'm so happy for my sister, for my whole family,” Grande told Entertainment Tonight at Broadway Sings for Pride’s Revolution Annual Charity Concert in New York City on Monday. “It's a big year for her.” Frankie listed some of Ariana's exciting upcoming business projects, including the release of her album Sweetener and single "The Light Is Coming." "Just as a family, we're in a really good place," he said.
"It's a time to celebrate. It's joy, it's happiness—it's the Grandes’ year. Look out for us ’cause we'll be everywhere!”
On the topic of Sweetener, Grande says he's heard the entire album and calls it a "remarkable piece of work." He also confirmed that there is an interlude on the album called "Pete," news that Ariana first broke on her Twitter. Ariana first previewed a clip of the interlude before confirming that not only is the interlude about Mr. Davidson, but it is also titled after her fiancé. Though fans questioned the choice—one even called her "dumb"—Grande gave an emotional reason for the public (and permanent declaration of love): “I been the f*ck thru it and life’s too short to be cryptic n sh*t about something as beautiful as this love I’m in,” she wrote.
“So ǝʇǝԀ it is.”
A source recently revealed that Ariana reportedly wants a "winter wonderland" wedding. Not only has she been reportedly imagining her big day, but she apparently wants to include Frankie in a major way; the 24-year-old singer reportedly wants her older brother to walk her down the aisle when the time comes.
