We're settled into Bridal Fashion Week now, and yet, we still can't get over how many incredible wedding dresses we've seen! Day 3 brought on even more big-hitters: Oscar de la Renta's new creative director Peter Copping showed his first-ever bridal line (spoiler alert: it's gorgeous), Marchesa presented their Spring 2016 bridal collection in the luxe St. Regis, and Amsale's minimalist aesthetic took a glamorous turn. Here, our favorite looks from yesterday's runway shows.
Oscar de la Renta
As we mentioned above, Peter Copping debuted his first bridal collection at the helm of Oscar de la Renta yesterday and it was nothing short of gorgeous. Two looks, in particular, struck a chord with us: a glistening architectural number with a square neckline and sheer layers that Sienna Miller actually wore to the Oscars (in black, though), and a deliate lace sheath that incorporated all we love from Oscar de la Renta but also featured a sheer skirt for a nice modern finish.
If Marchesa does one thing well it's feminine details and insane silhouettes. This look was no exception with its plunging neckline and quietly ethereal tulle skirt. The off-the-shoulder neckline works to make the whole thing look demure, curve-hugging silhouette adds a sensual air to the gown. The floral embroidery works to make it extra feminine, too.
The minimalist master played with gold last season and it came back in a big way at yesterday's runway show. We love this look because it's glamorous and sexy and just plain eye-catching. You can tell, too, that underneath the gold-specked illusion exterior there's a masterfully crafted and understated lining.
