Haven't we been here before? Yes, Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham is certainly no stranger to engagement rumors. Earlier this year, in fact, the MTV reality show fixture made us question if she was a bride-to-be when she was seen rocking a megawatt diamond ring on social media. And her on-and-off status with her sometime-boyfriend Simon Saran certainly doesn't help matters. But the rumor mill was at full tilt when Abraham recently took to Instagram to post what looked like an ultra-romantic dinner, complete with candles and sultry lighting. It definitely looked like the setting where someone would pop the question, leading fans to believe that this Teen Mom was heading down the aisle.
During a recent vacation to Montego Bay, Jamaica, Abraham shared a video with social media featuring the MTV star herself walking along a sandy pathway on the beach—in wedges, we'd like to point out—that was softly lit with fairy string lights and candles. At the end of the path sat a table for two, all set for an intimate dinner. Simon Saran, whose relationship with Abraham is often documented on the MTV hit, also shared the same video to Twitter.
Previously on the reality show, Abraham revealed that she herself bought the diamond ring she has been wearing lately, expecting her then-boyfriend, Saran, to pay her back and propose. However, the relationship fizzled out. But Abraham was not about to let that sparkle go to waste. "He has not [paid me back for the ring] and I'm going to wear it because I'm celebrating my success in life," Abraham previously told Hollywood Life.
Hmm… A candlelit dinner for two? With a former flame? On the beach?! That definitely sounds like proposal territory to us. Maybe Saran had finally popped the question—or at least had given Abraham an IOU for that bling.
But now, Abraham is setting the record straight. And no, despite that perfect proposal setting, this Teen Mom star isn't tying the knot. "We're not together," Abraham told Us Weekly about Saran. "I think people just got confused by me celebrating my birthday also in Jamaica which, oh well, I had a romantic dinner! Bitches were jealous!"
Well, confused would be the word we'd use, but at least that's all cleared up!
Another day, another engagement rumor…
