Carrie Underwood may be expecting her own "beautiful, wonderful perfect all-American girl." While the singer has yet to announce the sex of her baby, fans are speculating that she may be expecting a baby girl.
In early August, the singer announced that she and her husband, Mike Fisher, are expecting their second child. The two reportedly already know the sex and have picked out a name but have yet to reveal it to the public.
“Everyone is super hoping for a girl and there’s a lot of speculation that it’s going to be a girl,” an insider told People.
The source added, “They’re wondering if she’ll ‘accidentally’ announce the sex again at the CMA Awards,” which Underwood will cohost with Brad Paisley on November 14 in Nashville. In 2014, the singer revealed onstage that she was expecting a boy. Isaiah Michael is now three and a half.
Country music fans began speculating the sex of her baby when the star announced her pregnancy in an Instagram video, in which she wore a shiny pink jacket and was surrounded by silver balloons that spelled out "BABY." Shortly after the announcement, the singer was spotted out in a blush Ted Baker dress. (That is an awful lot of pink.)
In October, the mom-to-be made her first red carpet appearance since revealing her pregnancy at the American Music Awards. Underwood revealed at the time that she wasn't sure how her son would take the news of getting a little sibling. “I’m not sure if he quite realizes how his life is going to change, but right now he’s very sweet,” she said to People.
For now, it seems like the star is keeping her baby news private, but we can't help but wonder if her song lyrics will come true.
