Regardless of the season, weddings are truly incredible. But, there's something about a fall wedding—be it the rustic décor or warm color palette—that makes the day seem a little more magical. Of course, while we're all for the ceremony, we can't ignore the anticipation in the moments leading up to the bride's entrance. What kind of dress will she wear? How will she style her hair? What will be the inspiration behind her makeup? These are just a few of the many questions flying through our minds.
Of course, the makeup looks we observe during spring and summer weddings are quite different than the ones we see as we gear towards chillier months. The bride may opt for a bold berry lip or an auburn smokey eye, so it's safe to say you can get very creative with your wedding day makeup in the fall. Are you a bride-to-be in need of some inspiration? Look no further. We tapped four celebrity makeup artists for their favorite makeup look for fall weddings, so keep scrolling to see what they're loving.
Gozlan, whose clients are among Olivia Culpo and Adele, has two favorite looks for fall brides, with the first being a soft glam. "A soft smokey brown eye blended well outwards from the crease, followed by a black liner on the upper eyelid. Add a soft peachy/pink blush and a nude color on the lips."
The second look focuses on a pop of color on the lips. "I love a bold lip—dark red/plum/burgundy—with an exquisitely flawless and highlighted complexion, lightly shaded, contoured and elongated eye."
Products She Loves: "The perfect palette to use for a soft smokey eye is The Fold Out Face by Woosh Beauty. It comes in handy, especially when pressured by time. I love Mac lip pencils to contour your pout, the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils to fill out the lip."
Responsible for Mandy Moore and Kate Bosworth's stunning red carpet beauty looks, Greenwald prefers a classic flushed face with warm autumn tones. "I'm in love with a well-flushed cheek in the fall, it's very romantic and flattering on a bride. Think of a renaissance painting! Finish the complexion with gold or bronze highlights across cheekbones and eyelids."
She continues, "Warm, radiant and softly contoured skin, a simple and classic lashy lined eye with a deep burgundy, cranberry or bronzed berry lip as the centerpiece."
Products She Loves: "For a long-lasting complexion, a favorite of mine is Giorgio Armani "Prima" Day Long Skin Perfector. For a highlight, I'm loving Glossier's Haloscope in Topaz."
"I'm really loving bordeaux berry matte lips with voluminous lashes and a clean eye," Fabiola, who's worked with stars like Amanda Seyfried and Olivia Wilde, says. "Add liquid liner along the lash line to add dimension. If you want a little more drama go for a cat eye with a kitten flick!”
A go-to makeup artist for celebs like Hailey Baldwin and Selena Gomez, Lewis doesn't shy away from an all-out glam look. "I encourage a soft bronze, burnt red, or auburn smoked eye. It's subtle, but you still want the eyes to pop. This also gives permission for us to add a bold lip, but if the bride wants to feel a little more comfortable, I love to stick to a gorgeous gold eye with a soft peachy nude lip. This is just as glamorous and creates a more effortless feel to the overall look."
