Looks like we really can't keep up with the Kardashians anymore. If you haven't heard (but you probably have), sisters Kim and Khloé Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner, are all welcoming new additions early next year. Since news broke of all three pregnancies, social media has become, for a lack of a better word, a hot mess.
Some fans see it as a unifying experience for the three sisters, while some believe this was a calculated move orchestrated by Kris Jenner. Either way, reports have been flying with details on the newest members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, and it's a little overwhelming. So, if you're just tuning in to this real life soap opera, here's everything you need to know about the Kardashian baby boom.
The second-oldest of the Kardashian clan, who shares children North and Saint with husband Kanye West, has always wanted a third child, but due to certain health risks, her doctors have warned her against conceiving naturally. To be specific, the reality star and businesswoman suffered from placenta accreta during her pregnancy with Saint, who is now one year old. The condition occurs when the placenta grows into the wall of the womb, which prevents it from being detached at the time of birth. “My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails," she wrote of the experience on her blog. "How disgusting and painful!!!”
But, Kimye finally has a baby on the way via a surrogate. Earlier this month, TMZ revealed that the couple are indeed expecting, and the surrogate is carrying a baby girl. The little one is expected to arrive late January. The woman carrying Kimye's baby is said to be in her late 20s and in great physical shape. She's also served as a surrogate for other couples in the past, and has even premiered in promotional videos discussing the process.
Okay, we have to admit, this one was pretty surprising. Last week, TMZ revealed the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner fam is expecting her first child. And no, it's not with ex-boyfriend Tyga. Jenner is said to be having a baby girl with boyfriend Travis Scott. According to the report, the rapper told friends of the news earlier this month, and Jenner's family has kinda sorta accepted the pregnancy. Recently, Jenner was spotted at the iHeartRadio Music Festival last weekend wearing an oversized shirt. To cover a baby bump, maybe?
Though no one in the family has confirmed the news, Kris Jenner gave a coy response when asked about Jenner's bun in the oven. "She’s not confirmed anything. I think it’s kind of wild that everyone is just assuming that that’s just happening," she told the Cut during Milan Fashion Week. "Something happens every single day. You never know what is going to break at any moment."
It was previously reported that Caitlyn Jenner's rep had confirmed the news but Kim Kardashian has since shot down the story via Twitter. "Speaking of fake stories, the media is super shady for posting fake quotes from Caitlyn when she hasn’t spoke to anyone." Still, no one in the family has completely shut down Jenner's pregnancy, so maybe they're not ready to confirm just yet.
On Tuesday, reports from both People and TMZ confirmed Khloé and boyfriend Tristan Thompson are also expecting. The baby will be the first for Khloé, who's been trying for a baby since being married to Lamar Odom, and the second for Thompson, who welcomed a son named Prince Oliver with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig. According to TMZ, the couple conceived naturally and they do not know the sex of the baby.
“Yes, Khloé and Tristan are expecting and they are absolutely thrilled,” a source close to the couple told People. “This isn’t something they were in a rush to announce to the whole world, and it’s only been in just the past week or so that they’ve felt comfortable telling most of their inner circle."
Stay tuned, everyone.
