Calling all hopeless romantics looking to spice up their 9-to-5 desk jobs!
Robbins Brothers, The Engagement Ring Store, is hiring for the ultimate dream gig: the opportunity to travel the country for a series of weekends in search of the best places to propose in the U.S.—with all travel and expenses paid over the course of six months. Another added perk of this seemingly-too-good-to-be-true endeavor? Your significant other gets to tag along, too. Because what's the fun in scoping out loved-up locales without your own love!?
The exact job description reads: "Have a travel bug but not much of a travel budget? No problem. Pack your bags, grab a sweetheart and get ready for the opportunity of a lifetime! Robbins Brothers, The Engagement Ring Store, wants two love birds to share a series of all-expenses-paid weekend jaunts cross country in pursuit of the perfect proposal places in the country."
Essentially, one lucky couple will spend a weekend each month soaking in a new city, with only 48 hours to find and document the most engagement-worthy place. (Budgets for accommodations, food, and activities will be provided to assist in the discovery.) Plus, you'll only need to travel Fridays through Sundays, so this side gig won't interfere with your current full-time job. It truly doesn't get better than this, we assure you.
"We are always looking to elevate the engagement ring shopping experience we offer at Robbins Brothers, and a big part of that is the assistance we offer in planning the perfect proposal," said Chris Weakley, VP of marketing, in a press release. "We decided that the best way to gather some new, unique ideas would be to hire a couple to travel together in select cities over a six-month period to uncover the most unique and romantic proposal spots."
For any interested couples, the position's application will be open from now until February 14, 2019. As with any job, though, you both must meet certain requirements (but don't worry—no suit-clad interviewing necessary). Social media savviness is a must, especially Instagram, with the form asking for your follower counts and handles. You and your travel companion also must be willing to be photographed, videoed, participate in media interviews, and write content regarding each trip. Last but certainly not least, the ideal candidates "must be ready for a series of once-in-a-lifetime romantic adventures!" Easy enough, right?
If this sounds up your alley, submit your application before Valentine's Day for the opportunity of your dreams. Don't sleep on this one, lovebirds.
