Plenty of thought goes into selecting a spot for engagement photos: outside versus inside, at home or in public, nature backdrop versus city skyline, and so on and so forth. But underlying these decisions is the guiding principle that an engagement shoot should represent you as a couple—and for this recently engaged San Diego duo, that meant taking those pictures at their local Cheesecake Factory.
Nikki-Lee Flowerree and Tommy Redding, along with their photographer, Jessica McGehee of Reflecting Grace Photography, headed to the Cheesecake Factory in San Diego's Seaport District on March 19 to capture their engagement photos. The shots feature them snuggling up in a booth together, poring over the extensive menu, and even sharing their favorite dessert, the decadent Oreo Dream Extreme Cheesecake—because what is romance if not giving your SO the last bite?
But this couple's affinity for the chain restaurant boils down to much more than just its delicious apps and desserts (though that was certainly a factor); they have also spent many a date night at the eatery. "I'm 99 percent sure it's where we had our first date," Flowerree told the Huffington Post.
They are such regulars, in fact, that the pair even have their order down pat: Every meal ends with the Oreo Dream Extreme Cheesecake. Although the cheesecake had a featured role in their engagement photos, there's no word on whether it will be making an appearance on the couple's big day (set for August 26). "It would be pretty amazing to have an Oreo Dream Cheesecake wedding cake," Flowerree admitted to the Huffington Post.
