Party On, Brides: Listen to Our Engagement-Party Playlist!

Jessica Craig-Martin

Engagement parties are an optional, yet thoroughly enjoyable, pre-wedding celebration. Most often, these happen within the first few weeks or months of a couple's betrothal and are a time for friends and family to get to know each other — sounds like a good time right? Even better, there's no one way to throw one; though many people have a cocktail party, it's totally a personal decision. No matter the kind of soiree, good music is essential to set the mood. With that in mind, we curated a special Spotify playlist of songs that'll guarantee a great time.

Engagements are filled with excitement, joy, and, most importantly, love. Tunes that capture that kind of exuberance are ideal; some favorites of ours are Lionel Richie's "All Night Long," Stevie Wonder's "For Once in My Life," and Barry White's "Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe." We're also huge fans of songs that have a theme of companionship. Carpenters' "We've Only Just Begun," and Pretenders' "I'll Stand By You" will make future spouses want to stick by each other's sides all night. And, let's face it, pretty much every party and wedding will play Carly Rae Jepsen's new hit "I Really Like You" at some point, so why not get ahead of the trend?

If you recently got engaged, then this playlist will put you in a party mood, whether or not you're planning one. Sit back, relax, and enjoy these freshly-picked songs that'll get you grooving!
