Christina Aguilera and fiancé Matt Rutler just welcomed their first child into the world — a baby girl Us Weekly has confirmed. The Grammy Award-winning songstress gave birth at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles yesterday.
The happy couple announced the pregnancy in February, a little over a week after revealing their engagement. In March, Aguilera and Rutler divulged that they would be having a little girl.
At her baby shower in Los Angeles on July 12th, Aguilera was a vision in a white lattice-print maxi dress with gauzy long sleeves. She completed her look with soft wavy hair, accented by an ethereal flower crown featuring greenery, cream roses, and dusty miller. Rutler was also in attendance and the couple couldn't have looked more in love as he was spotted kissing his fiancée's baby bump.
"Everybody gave toasts and Christina gave a speech about how she felt so much love," a guest told People. "She thanked everyone for supporting her and said how excited she was to have a baby girl. It was a really sweet night." The Midsummer Night's Dream-themed party was co-ed and brimmed over with Moroccan pillow seating, string lights, and romantic candlelight.
Aguilera also posed nude for V Magazine and said of the moment and her pregnancy, "As a woman, I'm proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store". She described this time in her life as "incredible" and "magical".
Aguilera is already the proud mother of 6-year-old son Max who she shares with ex-husband Jordan Bratman. This is Rutler's first child.
Congrats to the happy couple!
